Excavator Hourly Rate in Port Alberni
Port Alberni Excavating works across Port Alberni, Sproat Lake, Beaver Creek and Cherry Creek. Our mini excavator hourly rate is $142 to $169 an hour for a Class 1 to 3 machine with the operator included, up to $398 an hour for the largest classes. We quote disposal separately based on material weight at the Alberni Valley Sort'nGo Centre.

What changes the price of your job?
We price your job on the machine class it needs, how long it takes, how tight the access is, and how much material we haul away. We charge rates ranging from mini excavators up to Class 9 to 12 machines. We might use different machine classes for the same size job on a tight town lot versus an open rural lot at Sproat Lake.
Disposal and haul-off
We haul waste to the Alberni Valley Sort'nGo Centre, which charges by material type and weight. We calculate haul-off and disposal charges as a separate item on your written quote.

How to keep machine time down on your lot
You can help the job go faster by taking care of a few small tasks before our equipment arrives. Trim back low hanging tree branches along the driveway so high trucks can pass easily. Move private vehicles, trailers, boats, patio furniture, and firewood out of the main yard and work paths. Mark buried garden lines, sprinkler pipes, or private power cables with bright spray paint or wooden stakes. Clear away loose junk, old fences, and brush piles from the area where we need to dig. When the work area is wide open and easy to enter, our machines spend their time moving soil rather than clearing pathways or dodging obstacles.
